Program faculty and mentors must possess a combination of professional experience, business knowledge, and instructional ability necessary to effectively prepare participants for entrepreneurship and business development.
Minimum faculty qualifications include:
A minimum of 3 years of documented entrepreneurship, business ownership, management, or business development experience.
Demonstrated experience in establishing, operating, or growing a business.
Knowledge and practical experience in areas including business formation, financial management, marketing, sales, customer relations, and business operations.
Experience providing instruction, coaching, mentoring, workforce training, or professional development.
Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
Ability to provide practical instruction, hands-on activities, and individualized guidance to program participants.
Faculty members may also hold additional credentials, certifications, degrees, professional licenses, or industry-specific training relevant to the subjects they teach.
Program instructors are selected based on their demonstrated ability to provide industry-relevant training and support participants in developing the skills needed for successful business ownership and career advancement.
Program Description
This Entrepreneur Development Academy is a 6-week business training program designed to equip aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs with the practical knowledge and skills needed to develop, launch, and strengthen a business. The program provides structured instruction in business formation, strategic planning, branding, marketing, pricing, sales, business systems, customer development, and funding preparation.
Through instructor-led training, hands-on activities, and business development exercises, participants learn how to create a strong business foundation, identify their target market, develop profitable services or products, and implement strategies for long-term sustainability.
The program is designed to support workforce development by increasing entrepreneurial skills, encouraging self-employment opportunities, and preparing participants to create businesses that contribute to economic growth within their communities. Participants complete a business launch plan and gain the confidence and foundational skills necessary to pursue entrepreneurship and business ownership opportunities.

Applications for Deyonnaās Business Mentorship Program are accepted on a rolling basis.
To ensure adequate preparation, enrollment applications must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the scheduled program start date.
Applications are reviewed based on program eligibility requirements, available space, and the applicantās readiness to participate.
Enrollment is limited to ensure participants receive quality instruction, mentorship, and individualized support throughout the 6-week training program.
