Program Description:

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Training Program at Alora College of Health Sciences is a 16-week, 352-hour hybrid course designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in outpatient and ambulatory care environments. This program integrates 12 weeks of on-campus clinical labs and virtual instruction with a 160-hour hands-on externship, ensuring graduates are workforce-ready. The curriculum focuses on essential administrative and clinical competencies, fully qualifying students to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CCMA national examination.

51.0801 Medical/Clinical Assistant A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians, to provide medical office administrative services and perform clinical duties including patient intake and care, routine diagnostic and recording procedures, pre-examination and examination assistance, and the administration of medications and first aid. Includes instruction in basic anatomy and physiology; medical terminology; medical law and ethics; patient psychology and communications; medical office procedures; and clinical diagnostic, examination, testing, and treatment procedures.

Criminal Background Check: A satisfactory criminal background check is a mandatory prerequisite for participation in clinical rotations. You must complete this check through the college’s designated third-party vendor within the past 12 months.

Physical Examination: You must provide documentation of a physical examination completed within the past 12 months.

PPD (Tuberculosis) Screening: You must provide documentation of a PPD test (or other TB screening) completed within the past 12 months.
