Program faculty are trained adult-education instructors who deliver the Medical Billing & Coding curriculum using structured online course materials. Instructors meet Indiana Adult Education requirements for onboarding, online-instruction training, and ongoing professional development.
This 6-week integrated education and training (IET) course prepares students for entry-level roles in medical billing and coding. Workforce Training content includes orientation, revenue cycle, insurance eligibility, coding systems, billing, reimbursement, and collections. Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) instruction is contextualized to healthcare documentation, terminology, reading comprehension, and workplace math. Workforce Preparation is delivered through WIN’s Essential Soft Skills modules.
Must meet a minimum TABE score of 511 in Language or 501 in Reading.
There are no deadlines, since this is an online course, we will offer rolling enrollment after the first cohort.
