Respiratory Therapy Program Director and Director of Clinical Education Standard:A qualified program director in Radiation Therapy meets all six of the following criteria:1. Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution and2. Holds a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license,3. Has a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years’ in clinical respiratory care4. Has a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or a clinical preceptor.Respiratory Therapy Program Standard:A qualified faculty member in the Respiratory Therapy program meets all five of the following criteria:1. Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and2. Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program; and3. Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); and4. Is an Indiana-licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RTP); and5. Has four years direct experience in Respiratory TherapyRESP 101, 102, 104, 202 (Specific to lab portion of the course) Course Standard:A qualified faculty member teaching lab portions of RESP 101, 102, 104, and 202 meets the Respiratory Therapy program standard or meets all five of the following criteria:1. Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution and2. Academic preparation appropriate to the course(s) being taught, and3. Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and4. Holds an Indiana - licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RTP), and5. Has four years direct experience in Respiratory TherapyRESP 107, 108, 206, 207, 208, 209 Course Standard:A qualified faculty member teaching RESP 107, 108, 206, 207, 208 and 209 meets the Respiratory Therapy program standard or meets all five of the following criteria:1. Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and2. Academic preparation appropriate to the course(s) being taught, and3. Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), and4. Holds an Indiana - licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RTP), and5. Has four years direct experience in Respiratory TherapyRESP 203 Course Standard:A qualified faculty member in RESP 203 meets the course standard through one of three routes:1. Meets the Respiratory Therapy Program Standard, or2. Possesses academic preparation appropriate to the course being taught, and is certified by the American Heart Association to be an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, or3. Meets all five of the following criteria:? Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and? Holds documentation showing academic preparation appropriate to the course being taught, and? Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and? Is an Indiana - licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RTP), and? Has four years direct experience in Respiratory Therapy.
