Each instructor will be required to have 5 years experience in the above fields.
This course prepares the students for the position of patient access associate or representative in a non-clinical healthcare setting. Within medical settings, a CHAA professional performs a varitey of duties such as : admission, registration, financial counseling, pre-certification, guest relations, scheduleing and telecommunications. Topics include: customer relations, medical terminology, appointment scheduling, basics of insurance billing and coding, medical ethics and law. Any student that successfully completes this course will be qualified to sit for the NAHAM CHAA certification exam.
GED or High School Diploma or currently pursuing a high school diploma or equivalency. PLEASE NOTE: Students cannot take the certification examination without a high school diploma or equivalency.
