Welding instructor Bryan Eck is credentialed as a Certified Welding Educator and Certified Associate Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society. He has been teaching welding courses for the South Bend Community School Corporation for over 10 years.
This Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Certification training provides an in-depth, applied introduction to current state-of-the-art GMAW welding applications. It also provides intensive preparation for A.W.S GMAW Certification Testing. This Certification Testing is included in the training cost. The gas metal arc welding (GMAW) transfer processes cover topics relating to short circuit, flux-core, inner shield, and submerged arc welding. The focus will be on short circuit and spray transfer welding. This will include various techniques for welding all positions and various thicknesses of base metals.
Must be enrolled as a SBCSC Adult Education student.Admission requirements include the following: NRS Level 3 or higher in Reading, Language, and Math (determined by TABE testing during enrollment.)
