The Indiana Code 410 IAC 7-22 requires mandatorycertification of at least one person who oversees food safety operations withineach establishment. Ivy Tech Community College offers an instructor-ledcertification training course to prepare individuals to take and pass themultiple-choice exam. Students will receive a ServSafe certificate, recognitionfrom the International Food Safety Council and permanent registration in the National Restaurant Association Education Foundations national registry. The ServSafe certification is valid for a five-year period.
