Certified Production Technician certification training prepares a manufacturing production technician to set-up, start up, operate and shut down manufacturing equipment and to ensure a quality product is manufactured efficiently and according to safety, environmental and health regulations. The CPT Certification is based upon industry-defined and federally-endorsed national standards and offers entry-level through front-line individuals the opportunity to demonstrate acquired skills needed for technology-intensive jobs. This training will address core technical competencies of production workers in four areas: safety, quality practices & measurement, manufacturing processes & production and maintenance awareness. Certificates are awarded to individuals who pass any of the four modules with the following required scores: safety – 76%; Quality Practices & Measurement – 75%; Manufacturing Processes & Production – 74%; and Maintenance Awareness – 73%. The full CPT Certification is awarded to individuals passing all four modules.
Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED,HSE, or be currently pursuing an HSE diploma.NRS Level 4 scores in reading and math.
