Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with 5+ years experience in hospital/retail or both. Must also have a current national certification such as the PTCB.
Our Pharmacy Techncian program is a fast pace program that gives the student 64 hours of instructional classroom time and 160 hours of rotations that is required by the Indiana Pharmacy Board. The student will be able to assist the Phamacist when filling out prescriptions. There are also pharmacy laws on what a pharmacy technician can and cannot do when providing service to their customers and patients. Once the class and rotations are completed, the student will be licensed in the State of Indiana and will be elgible to sit for their PTCB national exam
High school diploma/ GED/ or transcript from the HS, this is a requirement from the Indiana State Phamracy Board. Student must pass a pre-entry math test of an 80% in order to enroll in the program. Student must be 18 years of age. Students who do not pass the pre-entry test may come back and re-take it one more time to gain entry into the program.
Students must enroll at least 1 week prior to the start of class.
