Certified Mobile and Overhead Crane Trainer through the "Crane Institute of America"
Training is completed over 5 days and covers all aspects of crane safety. An onsite 40 ton crane is utilized to provide both crane operator instruction and to complete the Practical Operating Exam. All testing is monitored by, submitted to, and scored by Crane Institute of America (CIC) under their strict standards.During the week of training, an inexperienced crane operator will receive 12 hours of crane operating instruction to assist them in passing the Practical Operating Exam. Construction related jobs are projected to grow 10 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Spending on infrastructure is expected to increase, resulting in many new positions over the next ten years. Workers who can operate multiple types of equipment should have the best job opportunities. Students successfully completing all crane training and testing standards receive an industry/OSHA recognized Certified Crane Operator certificate, good for 5 years.
18 years old, HS Diploma or GED in progress. Student must also successfully pass a drug screen, which will be administered at the start of training.
