Qualifications of Instructors:
The Program Director holds a current Indiana Registered Nurse license, minimum of two years of licensed nurses experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of long term care services, documentation of completion in a course in teaching adults, have a completed application for approval as a program director on file at the ISDH with all the required documentation, be approved by the ISDH Division of Long Term Care Training Section as a program director.Avocational teachers license will substitute for the required training in teaching adults.Delegated Instructor needs to be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed and in good standing in the State of Indiana, have a minimum of one year of licensed nurse experience, have completed a course in teaching adults.
Program Description:
The nurse aide training program consist of a minimum of 30 hours of traditional classroom or on-line equivalent instruction and 75 hours of clinical instruction. The nurse aide training program curriculum establishes the minimum course standards. This curriculum is organized into thirty (30) lessons. Each lesson provides objectives, terms, content, resident care procedures (RCPs) and review questions.

Prerequisites Description:
Criminal Background Check, Physical Exam and 2 Step TB test, Math and Reading Comprehension (English) test. CNA State Test of $75.00 is included in the Total Inclusive Price for the course of $1,297.00.
