The IEC Program is a four-year training program that inclues classroom training an on-the-job experience. IEC concentrateson getting apprenetices hire by member companies who sign an aggreement to provie experiences that align with the IEC Curriculum. The IEC curriculum is establishe an upate by our national apprentice committee comprise of leaing electricians in our organization. .The program requires 144 hours of classroom training an 8,000 hour working on the job in the fiel. Training is own by Certifie IEC member-journeymen with extensive experience an teacher training. Midwest IEC requires that all instructor get cerfitied through IEC's certification program. Midwest IEC offers face-to-face classroom training in Crown Point and Internet-based training. The IEC program is approved by the Department of Labor who certifieds IEC as on official traing organization for acquiring a Electrical Jouneyman's Certificate
