Class A Commercial Drivers Licence, current Department of Transportaion Physical, 3 years driving or teaching experience, acceptible driving record, and the ability to obtain a State of Indiana Instructor License.
Program Description:
Our Professional Truck Driver Training Program is ideal for individuals with no prior knowledge or experience in the truck driving industry. This course provides a fundamental working knowledge of the varied aspects of the trucking industry and prepares students for an entry level position as a tractor and trailer driver with a trucking company. Students will become familiar with the Rules and Regulations governing the industry as well experiencing hands on driving techniques designed to prepare them to successfully pass both the written and practical portions of the States CDL A drivers license test. Carrer opportunities include: Long-Haul Drivers Pick-Up and Delivery Services Drivers Driver/Sales, Route Drivers Hazardous / Waste Materials Driver Services

49.0205 Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commerical vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically-powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares.

Prerequisites Description:
1. A Valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.2. 21 years of age or older to drive accross state lines. Applicants under 21 must drive intrastate only.3. The ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.4. The ability to communicate in English.5. An acceptable criminal history.
