Program Description:

The mission of the Reid Health School of Radiologic Technology is to provide an educational experience that will develop a proficient, compassionate, and employable radiographer who will fulfill regional needs and serve as a positive example for the profession.

51.0911 Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians, to provide medical imaging services to patients and attending health care professionals. Includes instruction in applied anatomy and physiology, patient positioning, radiographic technique, radiation biology, safety and emergency procedures, equipment operation and maintenance, quality assurance, patient education, and medical imaging/radiologic services management.

Prerequisites Description:

1.) High School diploma and the necessary prerequisite courses though Ivy Tech Richmond.

2.) High School diploma and have obtained a degree through an accredited institution that satisfies the ARRT requirements to sit for the registry exam.
