QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ Years of Industry Experience. Experience leading and teaching in a shop environmentLICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Must be eligible through the Indiana Department of Education for a CTE Trade Industrial: Welding 5-12, or Workplace Specialist: Welding 9-12 licensure. If pursuing the Workplace Specialist Licensure, candidate must have verifiable occupational experience in a related field meeting 6,000 hours (3 years experience) in the last five years OR 4,000 hours in the past 10 years with one of the following: Welding Certifications Completion of an accredited 2-year or higher degree in the specific certification area Completion of an apprenticeship or internship program
SMAW is a welding process that uses shielding to protect the weld from contamination. SMAW is one of the most common arc welding processes in the world because of its simplicity, versatility, affordability, and suitability for most applications. After taking this course, users will know how to safely handle, prepare, and operate SMAW equipment. They will also have a basic understanding of how to perform an SMAW weld. Our training sessions are meticulously planned by our Instructor and are designed in a manner geared toward the maximisation of efficiency. Your training will be conducted by one of our trainers over 9 total sessions.

Applications and interviews are on a rolling basis and students are placed into apporpiate cohorts based on their needs.
We work each student on a case-by-case basis so they can get access to the training.
