The program faculty hold a Masters in Health Administraiton, Certified in Phlebotmy and EKG.
Gifted Hands Academy Phlebotomy Technician program is designed to teach knowledge in technical, procedural and practical aspects of phlebotomy. In a small classroom setting, instructors will teach hands on practicum of operating as a certified phlebotomist. We are offering a 2-day 16 hour Phlebotomy Refresher Course which would allow students to get 8 hours of classroom learning phlebotomy fundamentals consisting of: Phlebotomy Techniques, Proper Venipuncture Techniques, Anatomy and Physiology of the arm and heart and capillary collections. Students will also get 8 hours of hands-on clinical teaching which will go over the order of draw and proper drawing and lab techniques and protocol. Students enrolled in this course will receive the opportunity to sit for the NHA exam to become certified in Phlebotomy.
Students who take this refresher course need to currently be working in the following medical fields; phlebotomy, medical assitant, and or nursing. Students enrolled will have a desire to refresh their phlebotomy skills and or become certified in the field to enhance their career.
