Qualifications of Instructors:
The program faculty have a minimum of 3 years of management experience in the Cybersecurityfield, and a minimum of 5 years of work experience. The instructors are familiar and preferably certified in the same certifications as our Apprentices will be working towards. The experience of these instructors provide a foundation for the apprentice and can provide context relevant to the Apprentices work experience to build on their career potential.
Program Description:
The 2000 hours of on-the-job-learning is completed in conjunction with 185 hours of training and coaching for performance. Technical topics taught in the apprenticeship include: cyber defense, network security, Powershell and Active Directory, enterprise security, identity access management with Okta, cloud computing, incident response and digital forensic, and pentesting. This advanced apprenticeship is designed for candidates who have foundational Cybersecurity training and experience. The courses and the curriculum are designed to build specialized competencies in support of the acceleration of middle-skilled roles.

11.1003 Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance A program that prepares individuals to assess the security needs of computer and network systems, recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, and procedures. Includes instruction in computer architecture, programming, and systems analysis; networking; telecommunications; cryptography; security system design; applicable law and regulations; risk assessment and policy analysis; contingency planning; user access issues; investigation techniques; and troubleshooting.

Prerequisites Description:
An Apprentice must be at least 18 years of age, except where a higher age is required by law, and must be employed to learn an apprenticeable occupation. An apprentice must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A two or four year degree is preferred.
