Program Description:

The main objectives of the course are to take entry level painters through an apprenticeship training so that they become skilled painters, provide both classroom and on-the-job hands-on training, and develop professionalism and leadership skills. These objectives are specifically-designed for the residential painter by taking them through a more time-effecient program than is often seen with traditional apprenticeships. In order to achieve these objectives, the 2.5-year course will be structured as follows:

One (1) semester (Spring or Fall) will make up 190 Hours of classroom & hands-on instruction.
On-the-job training (OJT) will coincide with classroom training. Completion of 4500 hours will be required.
Curriculum will include technical skill training of preparation, protection, paint products, job sequencing, crew leadership, and interior/exterior techniques.
