Instructor must be a certified NCCER Plumbing Craft Instructor with current credential at the level he/she is teaching. To maintain NCCER Instructor certification, instructor must have Registration of Training Modules approved by NCCER before ICTP expiration (certification will be extended 3 years from completion date on Registration of Training Modules).
Plumbing Level One content includes: Introduction to the Plumbing Profession, Plumbing Safety, Tools of the Plumbing Trade, Introduction to Plumbing Math, Introduction to Plumbing Drawings, Plastic Pipe and Fittings, Copper Pipe and Fittings, Cast-Iron Pipe and Fittings, Carbon Steel Pipe and Fittings, Introduction to Plumbing Fixtures, Introduction to Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems, and Introduction to Water Distribution Systems. This is a non-apprenticeship program model.
NCCER Core is a prerequisite for completion of all NCCER credentials (and all Helper pathways).Classes may be taught concurrently, but Level 1 or above credentials cannot be attained until NCCER Core has been successfully completed. NCCER Plumbing Curricula Following completion of Level 1, higher levels may be attempted in sequential order.
