Description
Qualifications of Instructors:
We are licensed by the state of Indiana as a truck driving training school. All of our instructors are approved andlicensed by the state of Indiana as well. All of our vehicles are inspected and approved by the state.
Program Description:
As of February 7th, 2022, all individuals seeking to obtain a Class A CDL are subject to the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). This means you must complete formal training consisting of classroom training and behind-the-wheel training by an approved training provider. The FMCSA has published a list of qualified training providers through a database called the Training Provider Registry (TPR). CDL Truck Driving School is listed on the TPR and meets all ELDT requirements. Classroom Our classroom is a combination of online and face-to-face training. There are 30 topics covered ranging from pre-trip and post-trip inspections to night operation and drug/alcohol. Students will be given multiple tests throughout and must achieve an overall minimum score of 80% to show proficiency. ? Range On The Road The behind-the-wheel range and on-the-road training is where students start applying the lessons learned in the classroom. They will be conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections. They will also be responsible for mastering various parking and backing techniques with the truck and trailer. Students will become familiarized with all the different vehicle controls. Each student will be taken on a variety of routes on local roads and highways. This exposes the students to a wide variety of situations that may arise while on the job. Our goal is not to simply help students obtain their CDL. We want them to be fully trained and equipped to handle the demands of being a CDL Class A driver. Our school operates from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. All students are required to come each day for the full time and will complete the course in 3 weeks. This way our students can complete the program within only a few weeks and be on their way to reaping the rewards of their investment!
