Qualifications of Instructors:
We are licensed and approved by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles to operate a commercial truck driving school in the State of Indiana.
Program Description:
The Commercial Truck Driver Course is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence that you will need to successfully pass the CDL State Exam. Not only does the course offer the necessary tools to pass at the state but, also teaches you about the Industry, FMCSA Regulations, Hours of Service and ELDs, Navigation, Coupling and Uncoupling, Safety and Accident Avoidance and much more. Classes are based on 160 hours of instruction. Week One being Academic Week followed by Weeks 2 through 4 being hands on training. You will learn Pre-Trip, Backing Skills and Driving Skills during this time in preparation for your State CDL Exam. CDL Xpress also has several advantages to help your career grow as well. We are a No Carrier Contract School, we offer Full- Time, Part-Time and Weekend Classes and we offer Lifetime Job Placement just to name a few.

49.0205 Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commerical vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically-powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares.

Prerequisites Description:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.2. Must have a valid driver license in their possession.3. Must complete a DOT Physical and DOT Drug screen. 4. Must be able to read and speak English to converse with the general public.
