Masters in Nursing
A program that generally prepares individuals in the knowledge, techniques and procedures for promoting health, providing care for sick, disabled, infirmed, or other individuals or groups. Includes instruction in the administration of medication and treatments, assisting a physician during treatments and examinations, Referring patients to physicians and other health care specialists, and planning education for health maintenance.
Admission into the university.An admission into the nursing program requires a nursing application process separate from the admission application to the university. Admission to the nursing program is competitive and limited by the availability of instructional resources and clinical learning sites. The number of students admitted to the nursing program varies and is dependent upon learning resources.
University deadline is August 15The deadline to apply to the nursing program is August 1 every fall after completion of the first 29 credit hours in the nursing curriculum.
