Qualifications of Instructors:
The instructional staff at AC/C TECH consists of individuals who have substantial experience in teaching and helping others. They have worked in the building trades for 10 years or more, or have earned a degree in the trade, or have earned a license in the trade. Some staff members also maintain a professional relationship with other educational institutions and/or governmental agencies. Most importantly, all provide training of the highest quality, encourage cooperation and team work, demonstrate efficiency and productivity, promote good work ethics, and exhibit hard work. Simply stated, this type of guidance in the classroom will have a lifelong effect toward helping students achieve their educational objectives.
Program Description:
This program is designed to help individuals understand maintenance procedures at homes and apartments, but with an emphasis on curb appeal. By the end of the program, students will understand [1] procedures for maintaining grounds and landscape items; [2] procedures for maintaining outdoor accessories such as basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and childrens play areas, [3] procedures for repairing exterior building components such as roofs, gutters, down spouts, exterior walls, screens, windows, patios, and decks; and [4] procedures for repairing interior building components such as ceilings, walls, floors, stairs, doors, cabinets, trim, and baseboards. In addition, our students will know how to use tools for the trade, construction materials, and governmental regulations.

46.0403 Building/Home/Construction Inspection/Inspector A program that prepares individuals to apply industrial, labor, and governmental standards and laws to the oversight of construction projects and the maintenance of completed buildings and other structures. Includes instruction in construction processes and techniques, materials analysis, occupational safety and health, industry standards, building codes and specifications, blueprint interpretation, testing equipment and procedures, communication skills, accident investigation, and documentation.
