Qualifications of Instructors:
Instructors will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a computer related field, and or 5 plus years of experience using and teaching Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
Program Description:
This course introduces the features of the Microsoft Office applications suite, Windows basics, and file management. Students will learn the following: Windows 10 Essential Concepts (operating system) Office 365 Essentials (subscription service) Microsoft Word (word processing and document creation) Microsoft PowerPoint (presentation creation) Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet creation) Microsoft Access (relational database management) Microsoft Outlook (email and task management) Microsoft Publisher (desktop publishing - Optional) Microsoft OneNote (information gathering and multi-user collaboration - Optional)

All applicants must supply proof of a high school diploma, its equivalent, or the proven ability-to-benefit, by obtaining a minimum acceptable Scale Score (SS) on an assessment test administered by Tough Start Incorporated through its Literacy Initiative to Further Education (LIFE) program.
