The instructor will have a minimum of 6,000 hours working in the plumbing field over the course of three years. The instructor will be a licensed plumber. The instructor will also have plumbing networks in the Greator Indianapolis area. The faculty selected is involved in holding a job fair with our corporate partners and 5-8 local plumbing companies that have hiring needs.
The plumbing program at Wayne Township Adult Education will provide 14 weeks of instruction in the PHCC Academy online program that offers and indepth introduction into plumbing definitions & principles, customer service and soft skills, safety,science andmath, plumbing systems andproducts, and gas andgas fixtures. The course will also have instruction from the NCCER Level 1 Plumbing. The course provides in class instruction, online labs and field experiences for studentto learn how the classroom lab activities are applied in the workforce. Students will also complete the OSHA-10 general contsruction certification.
Students must be at least 18 years old. Complete TABE testing with a score of M3 or higher. Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Ongoing Admission. Classes run fall (August - December) and spring (January - May) semester.
