The instructor holds a masters degree in computer science.
Minimum instructor credentials require include either a two-year degree from a recognized institution or national accrediting body in the major area they are assigned to teach, or at least two years practical experience in the major area they are assigned to teach in addition to professional licensure or industry-recognized certification in the field.
The CompTIA Security+ exam will certify that you have the knowledge and skills required to install and configure systems to secure applications, networks, and devices; perform threat analysis and respond with appropriate mitigation techniques; participate in risk mitigation activities; and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Information Security Analysts perform these tasks to support the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Demonstrate 10th grade completency in Math on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Two years experience in information technology administration with a focus on security is recommended but not required.
