CDL Training staff must have CDL-B a minimum of 3 years and approved by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles holding an Indiana BMV Instructor License.
This program is 95 hours total. The training is 9 days with 10 hour shifts along with distrance educaiton. This program consists of 40 hours of classroom, 10 hours behind the wheel, 10 hours observation, 10 hours of range instruction, along with 12 hours of career readiness by distance and adult basic education with career companion. Students will pretest at registration and posttest after 80 hours of instruction. Upon completion of training hours students and instrutors will take our buses for a day of testing at our partnering third party site. Students will test on the buses they are trained on.
Students must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver's lilcense for a minimum of one year, must be able to pass BMV driving record background check, and must pass drug screen and DOT physical. Students must score a minimum of 536 in Reading and 517 in Math on the TABE Assessment.
