Program Description:
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has specifically designed a certification for technicians performing maintenance and light repair services. The G1 certification prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Instruction includes brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automotive transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems. Successful completion of the G1 exam and at least one year of hand-on work experience earns ASE certification in this area.
