Faculty must have at least CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification, but would qualify with any additional CompTIA certifications as well, including A+, Net+, and/or Sec+.
Instruction in this program prepares individuals to assist, support, and offer technical advice to computer users to help troubleshoot hardware and software issues.The program includes instruction in information systems, computer concepts,operating systems, networking,the Internet, computer hardware and software applications, help desk problem solving, and principles of customer service.
Program is well-suited to students with general digital literacy and an interest and commitment in going into an IT field.
Application deadline is one week prior to the start of each class session.
A portion of our students are referred to our program by other industry partners with well-defined eligibility requirements. We also have individuals and organizations that provide scholarships to eligible students for tuition costs. Finally, our 501c3 foundation raises funds to provide scholarships to students. We conform to well-defined industry guidelines to determine who should receive financial aid. Eligibility is determined by in-person interviews, application, and basic testing.
