Program Description:
CompTIA Security+ certification is a vendor-neutral certification that is recognized worldwide as a benchmark for information system security best practices. Earning Security+ certification demonstrates your knowledge of industry-wide information assurance topics, like systems security, cyber security, network infrastructure, access control, assessments and audits, cryptography, and organizational security.

11.1003 Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance A program that prepares individuals to assess the security needs of computer and network systems, recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, and procedures. Includes instruction in computer architecture, programming, and systems analysis; networking; telecommunications; cryptography; security system design; applicable law and regulations; risk assessment and policy analysis; contingency planning; user access issues; investigation techniques; and troubleshooting.

Standard knowledge of PCs and Windows Operating System and ideally have basic network and security knowledge.All programs are open to those who can benefit from the training offered by Hope Training Academy. Prospective students are invited to visit the school orientation and discuss their training needs, career goals and objectives with our staff. A students ability to benefit from specific courses is determined by interviewing and assessment testing.

A portion of our students are referred to our program by other industry partners with well-defined eligibility requirements. We also have individuals and organizations that provide scholarships to eligible students for tuition costs. Finally, our 501c3 foundation raises funds to provide scholarships to students. We conform to well-defined industry guidelines to determine who should receive financial aid. Eligibility is determined by in-person interviews, application, and basic testing.
