Quickbooks teacher Karen Arndt holds a current teaching license in Accounting, Clerical, Vocational Business, and Data Processing as well as a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. Karen has been teaching both children and adults for over 30 years.
This Quickbooks (QB) certification training is a comprehensive introductory program that prepares individuals to providesupport to professional accountants and other financial management personnel. Students will learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) while learning and using up-to-date and industry-recognized software to develop career-ready skills in the area of accounting/bookkeeping. Topics will include creating a chart of accounts, recording customer and vendor transactions, processing payroll, tracking inventory, printing reports, and exporting to Excel software. Instruction will stress the importance of maintaining consistent and accurate files and records within an office or business. Students will be prepared to take the QuickBooks Certified User Exam.
Must be enrolled as an SBCSC Adult Education student. Admission requirements include the following: NRS Level 4 or higher in Reading and Math (determined by TABE testing during enrollment.)
