Instructor with 17+ years in the workforce welding industry and (AWS) American Welding Society certifications.
A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Develop entry level skills needed to obtain AWS-Certification as a Structural Welder and Gas Tungsten Arc Welder. To produce high quality fillet and groove welds in all positions on various thickness metals up to 3/8” thick. Intro to welding symbols and blueprints. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. All certifications will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) which will be held on a Saturday. Must have a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 16 to hold the class. Classes will be held 4 nights a week for 3 hours.Tuition includes supplies, tool kit, lab fees and certification cost.
A High School/HSE Diploma required or must be enrolled in an HSED program.
Two weeks prior to class start date.
