Training staff must have the required education and experience to appropriately teach the program content. Examples of education and experience include, but are not limited to, certificates and/or degrees from postsecondary institutions; certifications from industry-recognized agencies, and practical work experience in, or in a field closely related to, the career fields the program prepares students to enter. MedCerts confirms each training staff member’s academic background and work experience to ensure they are qualified to teach in the program.
This is a comprehensive program that prepares students for a rewarding and in-demand career in clinical allied health. MedCerts has produced contact that immerses the learner into an environment where skills, tasks and processes can be practiced in a safe environment, with virtual environments and simulations addressing important clinical skills and gamification challenges students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a way that is fun, interactive and engaging. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be eligible to sit for the provisional certification exam for Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) sponsored by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Full certification is obtained after acquiring 400 hours of hands-on sterile processing experience within 6 months of provisional certification.
