All instructors must provide evidence of this criteria through a resume, official transcripts, and documentation of current certifications. Instructors will be hired and onboarded at least two weeks prior to the start of a class to ensure that they can be properly oriented and prepared to teach the program.
This course teaches curriculum to students for CompTIA A+ certification; students receive this certification from a third party through an examination process (CompTIA A+ 220-1001 and CompTIA A+ 220-1002). This program prepares participants for a Computer User Support Specialist or equivalent entry-level IT help desk role (CIP Code 11.1006). People who successfully complete this course may find employment in companies that have a service Help Desk. CompTIA A+ exam voucher and online content access are included in the cost of this program. CompTIA offers job placement assistance to successful program completers but does not guarantee job placement.
The CompTIA programs do not require any specific IT skills or knowledge to enroll in the program. The prerequisites to become a student are the following:Â
At least 18 years oldÂ
Eligible to work in the United StatesÂ
Able to provide valid government-issued photo identification or driver’s licenseÂ
Able to participate in an online interviewÂ
Able to take an aptitude test and achieve the minimum acceptable scoreÂ
Able to speak, read/write and understand the English languageÂ
Able to use a computer to navigate in the Windows?environment Â
Have access to the internet and a reliable laptop or desktop computer with a current web browser
