Head of School: Certified Safety Trainer, Certified Forklift Trainer, VP of Safety Compliance, Class A-CDL Driver Trainer, over 38 years in the Industry, numerous Training Certifications in Safety and CDL Training, Train the Trainer, and more. Director of Program Administration: BA in Education, over 33 years of teaching and instruction, Communication Courses taught at the college level, many years of Adult Education and Training Adults in the transportation industry, over 18 years in the transportation industry. Classroom Driving Instructors: Over 33 years Driving Experience as Class A - CDL Drivers, with many endorsements. Adult Instruction in teaching people in the classroom, on the range, and behind the wheel, to be tractor/trailer drivers; numerous certifications as well as awards have been won by the Driving Instructors.
Program Description:
This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive Commercial Motor Vehicles, Class A - Semi Tractor/Trailer Trucks. This program includes instruction in operating diesel vehicles, manual trucks, double clutching, coupling/uncoupling, docking procedures, trailer control, backing techniques, forklift training, and a specialized safety training. Hours of Service/Log Books, and all aspects about the truck, driving on the streets, and working as a professional in the industry are all taught . This program adheres to and teaches Department of Transportation Regulations and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. SDIA, its classroom, range, trucks, trailers, office, Instructors and Program are all Certified and Licensed by the State of Indiana and we are an Approved Training Provider through the Federal Motor Carrier Saftey Administration, as well as being listed on their approved training provider registry. OUR SCHOOL MEETS AND EXCEEDS ALL REQUIRED TRAINING CURRICULUM THROUGH THE FMCSA AND STATE OF INDIANA BMV. Our program operates on a trucking campus and is REAL WORLD training! We are the MOST thorough Class A CDL School Program offered in the state of Indiana, and with the BEST pass rates! This school and curriculum havebeen in compliance with its training program since its inception for all FMCSA guidelines and for the State of Indiana.

49.0205 Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commerical vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically-powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares.

Prerequisites Description:
-Must be at least 18 years old - Must be able to pass a Drug Test - Must be able to pass a DOT Physical - Must have a clean background - (a criminal background check will be pulled) - Must have an acceptable MVR record - (a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be pulled) - Must be a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident incompliance with 49 CFR 383.71 - Must have a valid Drivers License for a minimum of 2 years and with no suspensions in past 2 years - Must have a valid Indiana Class A CDL Learners Permit - Must complete a telephone pre-screening and submit a completed application to the school to be reviewed by the school admissions committee for acceptance into the program.
