All faculty must possess a M.S. in their field, but many possess a Ph.D.
The system will NOT accept multiple CIP codes to represent the various concentrations available in this program. In the PFW system, the interdisciplinary program has the CIP code of 30.000. That program is described as: A program that derives from two or more distinct programs and that is integrated around a unifying theme or topic that cannot be subsumed under a single discipline or occupational field.
More specifically, the 30.1501 (Science, Technology, and Society) and 30.1701 (Behavioral Sciences) can be used to describe several concentrations within the BAS major.
As stated previously, the B.A.S. degree allows students to develop specialize knowledge in one of several career fields, including Business Specialty, Construction Management, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Industrial Engineering Technology, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Leadership & Supervision (Interdisciplinary concentration is not eligible for DWD funds). This specialized knowledge can lead to occupations in fields such as construction management, supervision, management, counseling for substance abusers, computer network architects, computer network support specialists or information security analysts.
To be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Applied Science program, all students must first have a completed Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. They must also meet standards for admission such as all 2.0 overall GPA in AAS with all courses completed with a grade of C- (1.7) or above.
August for Fall admission; January for Spring admission, and May for Summer admission.
