Certified Nurse Aide program is a 107 hour program which includes didactic and practicum instruction in an approved ISDH classroom and clinical site with certified instructors which provides information on the care of residents in a skilled nursing setting, followingCMS guidelines. The graduate of the program must attend all classroom and clinical instruction, demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and the 72 skills necessary to pass the course. A test is administered at the end of the course demonstrating knowledge and the ability to demonstrate the skills/tasks necessary to become a Certified Nurse Aide. The successful graduate is listed in the Indiana State Department of Health Registry and the certification is renewable every two years with continued education in the field.
