Qualifications of Instructors:
Nursing Faculty must possess a bachelors degree in nursing or higher, unencumbered RN license, minimum of two years of clinical experience as an RNFaculty that teach general education courses must possess a masters degree in the subject area or a masters degree and a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in subject area.
Program Description:
The ADN Program, LPN/LVN to ADN Bridge Option educates licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPNs/LVNs) for the role of a registered nurse (RN). Graduates earn an Associate Degree in Nursing and are prepared to take the NCLEX-RN®, which they must pass before they can be employed as a licensed registered nurse. The quarter-calendar program offers hands-on learning, early in the program, with general education alongside the nursing curriculum.

Includes instruction in the administration of medication and treatments, assisting a physician during treatments and examinations, Referring patients to physicians and other health care specialists, and planning education for health maintenance.

Prerequisites Description:
High school diploma or GED; Multilevel PAX composite score of 90. An earned diploma in practical/vocational nursing with a GPA of 2.5 or better from a PN/VN program (graduate of a Galen PN/VN program with a GPA of 2.0 or greater). Proof of active, unencumbered PN licensure. Applicants may be granted acceptance into the College based upon equivalent entrance test scores on other qualifying examinations, including the ACT, SAT, HESI A2, PAX-PN/RN, and TEAS, or evidence of a previously earned bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution. Admission test scores must have been earned within the last five years.
